Abstract

Elderly people in Poland are the increasing interest of the society. In the natural ageing process a series of involution changes, including motor system, appear. Knowledge of these changes, as well as accompanying diseases of old age and their complications is necessary in the process of rehabilitation of older people. The purpose of the work was to present the latest knowledge about physiotherapy equipment in geriatrics. The consequences of hipokinesis and the impact of the rehabilitation, occupation therapy, massage and physical therapy of geriatric patient, have been described.
