Cel pracy. Ocena związku pomiędzy kompetencjami kulturowymi personelu pielęgniarskiego, ich poziomem inteligencji kulturowej a zdolnością do efektywnego uczestniczenia w interakcjach międzykulturowych.
Materiał i metody. W badaniu wzięło udział 221 pielęgniarek i pielęgniarzy. Wykorzystano wystandaryzowane narzędzia do pomiaru inteligencji kulturowej (Cultural Intelligence Scale) oraz kompetencji kulturowych (Cross-Cultural Competence. Inventory). Analizy statystyczne wykonano w oparciu o program Microsoft Excel 365 oraz Statistica 13.3. Przyjęto poziom istotności statystycznej α=0.05.
Wyniki. Dłuższy staż pracy wiązał się z wyższymi wynikami w skali kłamstwa. wraz z wiekiem spadał poziom samoprezentacji wśród pielęgniarek i pielęgniarzy. Poziom inteligencji kulturowej był wysoki w odniesieniu do inteligencji metakognitywnej, a niski w zakresie inteligencji poznawczej. Im wyższa inteligencja metakognitywna, tym wyższe wyniki uzyskiwali respondenci w skalach tworzących kompetencje kulturowe, z wyjątkiem skali dotyczącej tolerancji.
Wnioski. Konieczne jest kontynuowanie badań oceniających kompetencje kulturowe pielęgniarek, które mogą stanowić punkt odniesienia dla kadry zarządzającej, w celu projektowania programów kształcenia w miejscu pracy, wzmacniających kompetencje kulturowe pielęgniarek oraz jakość świadczonej opieki zdrowotnej.
