Abstrakt

KOMPETENCJE ZDROWOTNE A DEPRESJA U OSÓB W WIEKU 65 LAT I STARSZYCH

Cel pracy. Celem badania było określenie poziomu kompetencji zdrowotnych w zakresie depresji wśród osób w wieku 65 lat i starszych zamieszkujących Region Południowoczeski. Badanie opisowe o charakterze przekrojowym.

Materiał i metody. Do badania włączono 403 osoby dobrane metodą doboru kwotowego. Próba była reprezentatywna pod względem płci, wieku oraz regionu zamieszkania. Strukturę wywiadu opracowano na podstawie standaryzowanego kwestionariusza HLS-EU-Q16, uzupełnionego o pytania socjodemograficzne.

Wyniki. Wystarczający poziom kompetencji zdrowotnych stwierdzono u 59,9% badanych, poziom problematyczny u 24,1%, natomiast niewystarczający poziom kompetencji zdrowotnych u 16,1% respondentów. U osób starszych z niewystarczającym poziomem kompetencji zdrowotnych istotnie częściej obserwowano objawy łagodnej depresji.

Wnioski. Dalsze badania powinny koncentrować się na znaczeniu niskiego poziomu kompetencji zdrowotnych u osób cierpiących na depresję.
