Ultradźwięki w położnictwie – bezpieczeństwo coraz większe?

Współcześnie ultrasonografia stała się podstawowym narzędziem stosowanym w diagnostyce perinatalnej. W krajach rozwiniętych większość płodów jest wewnątrzłonowo eksponowana na ultradźwięki w czasie diagnostycznych badań prenatalnych. Bezpieczne użycie ultradźwięków jest imperatywem w tych badaniach.
W pracy przedstawiono bioefekty działania ultradźwięków na tkanki żywe oraz opisano standardy używania mocy akustycznej w trakcie badań ultrasonograficznych. Założenia teoretyczne odniesiono do praktycznych aspektów klinicznych z uwzględnieniem najnowszych doniesień literaturowych na temat bezpieczeństwa stosowania ultradźwięków w położnictwie.
