Schizophrenic artistic expression

Schizophrenic artistic expression is a set of features that differentiates the works of art created by people who suffer from schizophrenic disorders from the formal point of view and the one concerning the contents. It is the psychopathology of expression that deals with these problems –its origins reach as for as the twenties of the previous century, and the names connected with it are Prinzhorn, Rennert and as far as our country one can mention the latest works of Madejska and Tyszkiewicz.
The scholars studying this problem seek the cultural and aesthetic conditions of these phenomena on the one hand, and on the other hand they try to employ the newest findings concerning the neurophysiology of brain. However, it has not lead to any explicit explanation of numerous phenomena summed up as the schizophrenic artistic expression that were earlier described.
