Występowanie lęku i depresji w cukrzycy – przegląd literatury

Lęk i depresja szczególnie często występują w cukrzycy. Adaptacja pacjenta do samoleczenia cukrzycy gwarantuje odpowiednią kontrolę glikemii, co z kolei zapobiega lub pomaga w leczeniu lęku i depresji.
Celem pracy jest analiza literatury dotyczącej wpływu występowania lęku i depresji u pacjentów chorych na cukrzycę (typu 1 i 2).
W pracy dokonano przeglądu piśmiennictwa z bazy Pubmed, artykułów krajowych i zagranicznych – anglojęzycznych z lat 2006-2012, dotyczących tematyki zagadnienia.
Zauważono duży wpływ na przebieg cukrzycy doświadczanego lęku i zaburzeń depresyjnych, które w dużej mierze zależą od czynników społeczno-demograficznych. Dostrzeżono, że aktywny rodzaj strategii radzenia sobie ze stresem przyczynia się do poprawy stanu emocjonalnego pacjenta.
Rezultaty analizowanych prac wskazują, że wsparcie społeczne jest bardzo ważne zwłaszcza dla młodych dorosłych z cukrzycą typu 1. Ułatwia ono psychospołeczne dostosowanie się do choroby i zmniejsza ilość obserwowanych objawów depresyjnych.
Adaptacja i motywacja pacjenta do aktywności, przyczynia się do odpowiedniej kontroli glikemii, a tym samym wpływa pozytywnie na wyniki leczenia depresji i lęku.
