Self-image of patients with relapsing-remitting MS

The aim of this study was to find differences between the features of self-image of patients with relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis and healthy subjects. The Adjective Check List were used to assess 70 healthy subjects enrolled into a control group and 108 MS patients treated at three institutions running the interferon-beta treatment program, located in Podkarpackie Voivodeship: the MSWiA Hospital in Rzeszów, the Specialist Hospital of the Holy Family in Rudna Mała and the Provincial Hospital No. 2 in Rzeszów. The results of statistical analyses revealed that patients with MS differed significantly from healthy individuals with regard to their self-image characteristics.
